Glenside, Pa. (3/25/14) - Three Cougars recorded multiple goals, but the Kean University women's lacrosse team fell to Arcadia in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon by the final of 15-8.
Arcadia jumped out to an early 3-0 lead just seven minutes into the opening stanza with Catherine Brown, Haylee Molloy and Dawn Faranetta each recording goals. The Cougars answered back on a tally from Julie Knodt which was assisted by Meghan Schneck. Arcadia was then able to push across the next four markers, before the Cougars answered with a goal from Carly Seidel. Samantha Gnapp also tallied a goal in the opening 30 minutes, but the Cougars trailed 10-5 heading into the break. The Cougars attempted to battle back into the contest, but the Arcadia defense limited the Cougars to just three second half goals.
Ciara Mastrodomenico, Jordan Blanda and Gnapp (pictured left) all tallied two goals, while Blanda also contributed three ground balls and three draw controls. Sharell Lowe and Daniella Wagenti combined to make five saves for the Cougars, who fell to 5-3 on the season. Jordyn Dunacusky had eight saves for the Knights, who improved to 8-1 on the season.
