scoring with her first two goals just three minutes apart midway
through the opening half. Freshman midfielder Nicolette Maggio
(Tenafly, N.J.) added the first goal of her career, while junior
forward Michelle Fischer (Scotch Plains, N.J.) added a goal and an
assist in the first half.
Less than ten minutes into the second half, Anzivino netted her
third goal of the day on a breakaway, and senior midfielder Lisa
Battaglia (Gibbstown, N.J.) scored off a scramble in the box to
close out the scoring for the Cougars.
Kean held a 31-6 edge in shots and 10-2 advantage in corner kicks
in the season opener for both teams.

DiMaio Scores Twice to Lead Mule Rally
Muhlenberg senior midfielder Mallory DiMaio (Orefield, N.J.) scored
twice in a 10-minute span, as the Mules rallied from a 2-0
second-half deficit to defeat Gwynedd-Mercy College on Sunday
morning.
The Griffins took an early 1-0 lead, as senior forward Dana Landis
(Emmaus, Pa.) scored off the cross from senior forward Kristen Book
(Coatesville , Pa.) just 14:17 into the contest. Gwynedd-Mercy
extended their lead to 2-0, when sophomore forward Mackenzie
Armstrong (Quakertown, Pa.) floated a shot over the head of the
Muhlenberg keeper with just 15:41 remaining in the contest.
Muhlenberg cut the deficit to 2-1 just over a minute later on
DiMaio's header off the free kick from senior midfielder Andrea
Dello Russo (Bernardsville, N.J.). The Mules would tie the game
with exactly 10 minutes remaining on a goal by freshman forward
Kasey Hacker (Greenville, Del.) and would score the game-winner as
DiMaio's shot deflected of the Griffin defender and into the goal
with only 6:36 left in the game.
For the Griffins, sophomore keeper Colleen Amici (Newtown, Pa.)
made nine saves, while freshman goalkeeper Kate Morrissey
(Huntington , N.Y.) made three saves in the victory for Muhlenberg.
