Women's Soccer Blanks Drew, 2-0

MADISON, N.J. (9/12/06) - Kean University senior forward Heather Anzivino (Belford, N.J.) scored twice to lead the Cougars past host Drew University in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday evening. The victory improved the Cougars to 4-0, while Drew fell to 2-3.

After a scoreless opening half, Anzivino netted the game-winner just five minutes into the second half when she picked up the loose ball in the box following a Cougar free kick.

Anzivino added her eighth goal of the season in the 61st minute of action, as she gathered a long ball from junior forward Michelle Fischer (Scotch Plains, N.J.).

The Cougars open New Jersey Athletic Conference play this weekend, when they travel to Pomona, N.J., to take on Richard Stockton College for a 3 p.m. game.
