Groszew Named NJAC/ECAC Defensive Player of the
Week

Nicole Groszew (Denville, N.J.) earns New Jersey
Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week honors for
the second time this season as announced by the conference office
on Monday.
Groszew was also selected as the ECAC Metro
Defensive Player of the Week as announced on Tuesday.
Groszew earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week
honors after leading the Cougars to a pair of NJAC overtime
shutouts.
She opened the week by collecting three saves in
109 minutes of action during Kean's 1-0 overtime win over NJCU. She
wrapped up the week by notching 12 saves in a 110 minutes of action
during the Cougars' scoreless double-overtime draw with Ramapo.
Groszew currently ranks third in the NJAC in goals
against average (0.82).
