 Fischer Named Kean Athlete of the Week

UNION, N.J. (10/30/07) - Senior Michelle Fischer (Scotch Plains, N.J.) has been tabbed the Kean University Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the women's soccer team to the NJAC playoffs last week.

In the regular season finale against William Paterson University, Fischer scored two goals and assisted on the other in the Cougars' must-win 3-1 victory over the Pioneers. 

Fischer also tallied an assist in the first round of the playoffs, as she served the ball through on the opening goal of Kean's 3-2 loss at fourth-seeded Montclair State University.  Fischer leads the team with 11 goals and 25 points this season.
