Women's Soccer Falls in Overtime

READING, Pa. (10/26/09) - The Kean University women's soccer fell to host Albright College, 1-0, in overtime in non-conference action on Monday evening.

It was the Cougars' second straight loss in overtime, as all seven of Kean's losses have been by just one goal.

With just 1:12 remaining in the first overtime, senior Amy Hoelscher (Reading, Pa.) collected a loose ball in the box and passed it back to senior Allie Yoder (Lebanon, Pa.), who scored the game-winner.

The Cougars (6-7-4) held a 22-5 edge in shots and a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks over Albright (8-8-2).

For Kean, junior Leandra Russo (Galloway, N.J.) stopped two shots.

Kean closes out the regular season on Wednesday, October 28, when the Cougars travel to Ramapo College for a New Jersey Athletic Conference game at 3:30 p.m.
