Madison, N.J. (9/5/17) – Kaitlyn Pallitto led all players with a hat-trick but it wasn't enough as the Kean University women's soccer team fell to host FDU-Florham, 4-3 on Tuesday evening.
The loss drops the Cougars to 1-2 on the season while FDU improves to 3-0.
Kean took their only lead of the day as Pallitto netted her second tally of the night when she beat her defender in front of the net, putting the score at 2-1. Pallitto earlier tied the game tapping the ball in on a cross from Emily Jurcsek in the 17th minute. The game would halt there for bad weather for an hour plus.
The Devils tied the game up and just before the intermission took the lead as Madeline Finnegan headed a free kick from Missy Quinn. Pallitto knotted the match at three-all in the 65th minute with a header of her own off a corner volley from Kendall Machak.
Quinn scored the game winner in the 80th minute off a direct kick.
Kean returns to action on Saturday when they return to Madison to take on Drew University.
