Women’s Swimming Falls to NJAC Rival Ramapo

MAHWAH, N.J. (10/28/17) - The Kean University women's swimming team dropped their second meet of the season to Ramapo College, 117-71 on Saturday afternoon. Kean falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC. Ramapo improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the NJAC.

The Cougars picked up first place points in the 100 yard breaststroke, the 500 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle relay. Stephanie Kontra clocked in at a time of 1:39 in the breaststroke event, while Sarah Wisniewski finished with a combined time of 8:37 in the freestyle event.

Joy-Ann Dimaculangan, Gabriella Munoz, Elizabeth Tolentino and Kelsey Rosa combined for a 2:38 time in the 200 yard freestyle relay event.

Head Coach Barbara Perkins and the Cougars will return to the pool on Thursday, Nov. 2nd, hosting the Redhawks of Montclair State University at 6:00 p.m.
