Women’s Swimming Falls to Hunter in Non-Conference Action

NEW YORK, N.Y. (12/1/17)- The Kean University women's swimming team dropped a non-conference meet to Hunter College, 50-42 on Friday evening. The Hawks improve to 5-2 overall, while the Cougars fall to 0-5 overall.

Kean won two events but earned first place points in another three. Darlene Holmes took first in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 27:35, while Molly Lasko captured first in the 100-yard butterfly event with a time of 1:13.72. Joy-Ann Dimaculangan clocked in with a first-place time of 8:10.06 in the 500-yard freestyle, while Elizabeth Hadley finished with a first-place time of 1:41.37 in the 100-yard breaststroke event. Holmes, Lasko, Stephanie Kontra and Dimaculangan posted a combined time of 2:05.04 in the 200-yard freestyle relay event.

Head Coach Barbara Perkins and the Cougars will return to the pool in Wayne, N.J. on Tuesday, Dec. 5th, against the Pioneers of William Paterson University at 6:00 p.m.
