Kean Upends Brooklyn in Tennis Action, 8-1

HILLSIDE, N.J. (9/26/07) - The Kean University tennis team swept the three doubles matches and won 5-of-6 singles matches en-route to the 8-1 victory over visiting Brooklyn College on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Cougars handed the Bridges their first loss of the year, as Kean improved to 2-4 overall and Brooklyn fell to 3-1 this season.

At singles, Kean earned victories by Kareisha Questel (South Brunswick, N.J.), LaShanna Armour (Union, N.J.), Olivia Shapiro (Beachwood, N.J.), Katherine Arauz (Newark, N.J.) and Jessica Oquendo (North Bergen, N.J.).

In doubles, senior Danielle Fardin (Edison, N.J.) and freshman Lisette LaForge (Roselle Park, N.J.), senior Laura Kuchar (Metuchen, N.J.) and Shapiro, and Armour and Arauz were all victorious.
