Mahwah, N.J. (10/20/09) - The Kean University women's
tennis team got back into action after a 10 day layoff and fell to
host Ramapo College, 8-1, Tuesday afternoon in New Jersey Athletic
Conference action.
The loss gives the Cougars a 6-5 overall mark and a 1-4 NJAC record. The win improves the Roadrunners to 7-4 and 3-1 in conference action.
Kean's lone win of the afternoon came at second singles as rookie Lauren Petrucelli (Wood-Ridge, N.J.) defeated Kristine Austria, 6-1, 6-1.
Kean returns to action on Wednesday, October 21st when they travel to FDU College at Florham at 3 p.m.
