Women's Tennis Tops York, 6-3

Union, N.J. (9/17/11) – The Kean University women's tennis team improved to 3-1 as they defeated visiting York College (N.Y.), 6-3, Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars were led by junior Lauren Petrucelli (pictured left) who was victorious in first singles (6-3, 6-1) as well as first doubles (8-3) paired with sophomore Debra Dress.  Dress won second singles by the final of 6-3, 6-2.

Sophomore Jaelynn Lee picked up two wins, first at second doubles (8-2) and again at fourth singles (6-1, 6-1).

Kean returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Lehman College.
