Women's Tennis Edges Rutgers-Camden, 5-4

Union, N.J. (10/21/17) – The Kean University women's tennis team edged Rutgers University-Camden 5-4 on Saturday afternoon in conference action.

Kean (7-5, 2-3 NJAC) earned victories in third, fourth, fifth and sixth singles while coming up with a win at third doubles.

The combo of Rose Hughes and Emily Kopp got the day going with an 8-4 win at third doubles.  Both earned wins in singles action with Hughes picking up the point by retirement at third singles and Kopp a 6-4, 6-0 decision at sixth singles.

Alyssa Peterson and Anna Chan recorded straight set wins to round out the scoring.

Kean has two non-conference matches left in the fall, hosting Cairn University on Wednesday and Penn State Abington on Saturday.
