Volleyball Earns NJAC Victory Over William Paterson

WAYNE, N.J. (9/19/06) - Kean University junior outside hitter Alicja Ciastoch (Teaneck, N.J.) recorded 11 kills, 30 digs and eight service aces, as the Cougars defeated host William Paterson University in New Jersey Athletic Conference volleyball action on Tuesday evening. With the five-set victory (27-30, 30-24, 26-30, 33-31, 15-12), the Cougars improved to 9-3 overall, 1-1 in the NJAC, while the Pioneers dropped to 4-8 overall, 0-2 in the conference.

Also in the victory, senior outside hitter Liz Bauer (Rahway, N.J.) added 17 kills and 16 digs, while freshman setter Colleen Masterson (Rahway, N.J.) dished out 36 assists.

The Cougars return to action on Thursday, September 21, when they host Rutgers-Newark in NJAC action at 7 p.m.
