Volleyball Battles Rowan in Five-Game Victory

GLASSBORO, N.J. (9/26/06) - Kean University senior outside hitter Liz Bauer (Rahway, N.J.) tallied 17 kills and 21 digs to lead the Cougars past host Rowan University in New Jersey Athletic Conference volleyball action on Tuesday evening. The five-game victory (30-28, 18-30, 30-22, 13-30, 15-10) improved Kean to 10-4 overall, 2-2 in the conference, while Rowan dropped to 3-10 overall, 1-3 in the NJAC.

For Kean, junior outside hitter Alicja Ciastoch (Teaneck, N.J.) added 11 kills, 14 digs and five service aces, while freshman setter Colleen Masterson (Rahway, N.J.) added 34 assists and 10 digs.

The Cougars return to action on Saturday, September 30, when they travel to Cabrini College for a tri-match with Rutgers-Camden.
