Volleyball Sweeps Centenary, 3-0

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (10/17/06) - Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Vazquez (Edgewater, N.J.) recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs, as Kean University swept Centenary College in non-conference volleyball action on Tuesday evening. With the straight game victory (35-33, 30-15, 30-13), the Cougars improved to 12-12 overall, while the Lady Cyclones dropped to 2-20 this season.

Kean junior Alicja Ciastoch (Teaneck, N.J.) added 10 service aces, nine digs and eight kills, while senior outside hitter Elizabeth Bauer (Rahway, N.J.) added nine kills and 12 digs in the win. Freshman setter Colleen Masterson (Rahway, N.J.) dished out 37 assists and junior middle blocker Corinne O'Toole (Garfield, N.J.) added seven kills and a pair of solo blocks.

The Cougars return to action on Friday, October 20, when they host the Kean Invitational.
