Cougars Fall to Red Hawks in NJAC Opener, 3-0

Montclair, N.J. (9/11/07) - The Kean University women's volleyball team fell to 2-2 overall as Montclair State University defeated the Cougars in the NJAC opener for both, 30-10, 30-13 and 30-22, Tuesday evening in Panzer Gymnasium.  

Senior Alicja Ciastoch (Teaneck, N.J.) led the Cougars with nine kills and two service aces, while sophomore Colleen Masterson (Rahway, N.J.) tallied 15 assists in the loss.

Sophomore Kara Burnham (Moorestown, N.J.) collected a match-high 11 kills and libero Meghan Stevens (Woodcliffe Lake, N.J.) had a team-high 11 digs for the Red Hawks (7-3, 1-0 NJAC) in the win.

Kean returns to action on Friday, September 14 as they travel to SUNY-New Paltz to take part in the Hawk Invite.
