Volleyball Drops Two at Hawks Invite

New Paltz, N.Y. (9/14/07) - The Kean University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the SUNY-New Paltz Hawk Invite on Friday afternoon.  The Cougars dropped their opening match to SUNY-Morrisville (30-20, 30-8, 36-34), before falling to the host Hawks (30-14, 30-9, 30-4) in their final match of the afternoon.

Against Morrisville, senior Alicja Ciastoch (Teaneck, N.J.) and rookie Nicole Bolash (Clinton, N.J.) each finished with 10 kills and nine and 11 digs, respectively. 

In the match against host SUNY-New Paltz, Bolash led the Cougars with six kills, nine digs and two service aces, while Ciastoch had four kills and four digs.

Freshman setter Ivana Kapetanovic (East Brunswick, N.J.) had 39 assists in the two matches on Friday. 

The Cougars play a pair of matches on Saturday to conclude the Hawk Invite.
