Cougars Split in Tri-Match Action

Bronx, N.Y. (10/11/08) - The Kean University volleyball team split in tri-match action this afternoon, defeating host Lehman College, 3-2, while falling to SUNYIT, 3-0.

Kean defeated Lehman in their second match of the afternoon by the scores of 17-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-23, 15-13.  KU fell in earlier action to SUNYIT by the scores of 7-25, 21-25, 12-25.

Kean (7-11) was led by freshman Jamie Sacco (Park Ridge, N.J.) with 16 kills and three service aces to go along with 21 digs.  Freshman libero Mary Aldana (Jersey City, N.J.) had a combined 23 digs while freshman Stefanie Santiago (Bayonne, N.J.) (pictured right) had 11 kills and 13 digs.

Kean stays on the road in NJAC action on Tuesday, October 14^th in Pomona, N.J. against Richard Stockton College.
