Volleyball Falls to NJAC Leader Richard Stockton

POMONA, N.J. (10/14/08) - Richard Stockton College remained unbeaten in New Jersey Athletic Conference play with a sweep of Kean University in NJAC volleyball action on Tuesday evening.

The Ospreys (19-7, 5-0 NJAC) took the straight set win by a score of 25-7, 25-8, 25-22 over the Coguars (7-12, 1-4 NJAC)

Rookie Mary Aldana (Jersey City, N.J.) paced Kean with 11 digs and classmate Yesenia Velasquez (North Arlington, N.J.) added nine assists. 

For the Ospreys, Christine Velott (Moorestown, N.J.) led the team with 10 kills and Audrey O'Donnell (Bogota, N.J.) contributed nine kills and three blocks.

Kean opened up an 11-5 lead in the third set but the Ospreys rallied behind six kills by Velott to complete the sweep.
