Union, N.J. (10/4/11) – The Kean University women's volleyball team fought to a hard five set loss at host Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday evening.
The Cougars fell by the final set scores of 31-33, 24-26, 25-22, 25-14, 8-15.
Kean was led by junior Amanda Gonzalez who recorded 14 kills along with three assisted blocks. Rookie Jennifer Espinal registered 12 kills in addition to 15 digs and two assisted blocks. Sophomore Kaitlyn Hansen led all players with six aces while collecting 11 kills and a .308 attack percentage. Freshman Alana Aranjo recorded 41 assists and 10 digs.
The Cougars return to action on Friday when they travel to Union College for a two day tournament.
