Women's Volleyball Remains Perfect in NJAC Play

Mahwah, N.J. (10/3/17) – The Kean University women's volleyball team remained undefeated in NJAC play with a 3-1 win over host Ramapo College on Tuesday night.

With the win the Cougars have sole possession of first place in the conference standings as the only undefeated team.  Kean stands with a 16-5 overall mark and 5-0 record in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

Kean had positive attack numbers in each set and after see-sawing the first two sets, cruised to set wins in three and four (25-16, 25-13) leading from start to finish.

Four Cougars ended the night with double-digit kills in Joelle Tondi (18), Jesse Larkin (13), Vikki Stec (12) and Sara Ridgway (11).  Tondi and Stec each had double-doubles adding 16 and 15 digs respectively.

Libero Kortnee Nelson recorded 26 digs with three aces while Brianna Calvano tallied her own double-double with 54 assists and 11 digs.

Kean hosts New Jersey City University and Pratt Institute of Technology on Thursday evening.
