Women's Volleyball Tops NJCU and Pratt

Union, N.J. (10/15/17) – The Kean University women's volleyball team improved to 18-5 on the season with a sweep of New Jersey City University and Pratt Institute on Thursday evening. 

Kean 3, New Jersey City University 0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-17)

The Cougars held NJCU (9-9, 1-4 NJAC) to negative or zero attack percentages in all three sets while boasting as high as .417 (second set). 

Kean (17-5, 6-0 NJAC) was led by junior Vikki Stec who collected 11 kills (.444%) and five digs.  Teammate Jesse Larkin registered nine kills (.600%) with one block. 

Kean 3, Pratt Institute 0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-13)

The Cougars led from start to finish in the nightcap, as 10 players saw action in the sweep.  Andrea Antal had a team-high nine kills while Calli Scheuermann had eight kills and seven digs.  Zoe Strozewski chipped in with seven kills (.667%) and Kendall Sonico ended the match with 20 assists, five aces and four digs.

The Cougars will have the weekend off and return to NJAC play on Tuesday when they travel to Rutgers-Newark.
