Ridgway Named NJAC Player of the Week

PITMAN, N.J. (11/9/17) - Senior Sara Ridgway has been tabbed the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Ridgway propelled the Cougars to a 2-0 week as Kean captured the 2017 NJAC volleyball championship and earned their first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2001. She posted 25 kills and 15 blocks, while tallying a .328 hitting percentage over two NJAC tournament matches. She finished with 14 kills and a .778 hitting percentage in the semifinal victory over MSU on Nov. 2nd. She capped off her week with a double-double of 11 kills and 11 blocks in the championship victory over Stockton on Nov. 4th.

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Owings Mills, Md. on Friday, Nov. 10th, against #12 Blue Jays of John Hopkins University in the first round of the NCAA tournament at 5:30 p.m.
