Women's Volleyball
Kean University Head Volleyball Coach Bridget White has been a fixture on the sidelines for two decades as her teams have enjoyed a consistent record of success throughout her tenure. Under her guidance, the Cougars have competed in eight New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship games, capturing five NJAC titles. Kean has also received a trio of NCAA Division III National Tournament berths and have been invited to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament in 1991, 1999 and 2000. In 2003, White became just the 39th Division III women's volleyball head coach to record 300 career victories, while her 340 career coaching wins rank her 34th among NCAA Division III active coaches. A five-time NJAC Coach of the Year, White has developed 17 players that have earned a combined 37 All-NJAC selections; six NJAC Players of the Year and two NJAC Rookies of the Year. In 1985, White earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education from Brooklyn College, where she helped the Kingswomen volleyball squad to national top-10 rankings in 1983 and 1984. She later served as an assistant volleyball coach at Smith College for two seasons while earning her master's degree in exercise and sports science in 1988 before accepting the post at Kean. In the spring of 2004, White was inducted into her alma mater's athletic hall of fame at Bishop Kearney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) High School.
