Cougar Women Capture Stevens Invitational

sophomore Stephanie Sinclair (Ridgefield, N.J.)
captured the Stevens Institute of Techonology Invitational
4,000-meter race and the Cougars won the team title on Friday
afternoon at Liberty State Park.
The Cougars finished first through fourth, as Sinclair broke the
tape in 18:17. Freshman Tyher'Rah Thomas (Plainfield,
N.J.), junior Anna Khorosheva (Ocean,
N.J.) and sophomore Nicole Calello (Garwood,
N.J.) finished second (18:26), third (18:42) and fourth
(18:43) as the Cougars collected their first-ever team title in
cross country.
On the men's side, the Cougars finished 5th overall in the
8,000-meter race. Senior Brian Sims (Matawan,
N.J.) led the way with a fifth-place finish (29:52), and
sophomore Ezra Schwartz (Bloomfield, N.J.) placed
17th in 33 minutes flat.
