Cross Country Runs at Connecticut College

WATERFORD, Conn. (09/22/07) - The Kean University men's and
women's cross country team competed at Connecticut College
Invitational on Saturday morning at Harkness Memorial Park.
Senior Anna Khorosheva (Ocean, N.J.) led the
contingent of Kean runners, placing 101st overall in the 6000-meter
race in a time of 26:55. Freshman Sarah Kovolisky
(Cranford, N.J.) was just behind her in 115th place
(27:39), while Asha Winters (Ewing, N.J.) and
Alejandrina Canelo (Newark, N.J.) were
156th (31:29) and 170th (36:17),
respectively.
In the men's 8000-meter race, sophomore Ashwin
Anantharaman (Hightstown, N.J.) was 114th,
crossing the finish line in 28:21 to lead the Cougars.
Freshman Rolland Ying (East Brunswick, N.J.)
finished in 30:57 to place 166th, while Ezra
Schwartz (Bloomfield, N.J.) and Kyle Dabkowski
(South Amboy, N.J.) placed 180th (31:33) and
182nd (31:37), respectively.
The Cougars compete at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh
University on Friday, September 28th. The men's
race begins at 2:10 p.m., with the women's race going off forty
minutes later.
