Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (9/28/07) - The Kean University
men's and women's cross country teams competed among more than
1,000 runners and 90 college teams at the 34th Brooks
Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.
Both teams had three runners compete in the college white races
of non-Division I teams.
In the women's 6000-meter race, senior Anna Khorosheva
(Ocean, N.J.) was the team's top finisher, as she placed
158th in 26:17. Rookies Sarah Kovolisky
(Cranford, N.J.) and Asha Winter (Ewing,
N.J.) finished in 29:31 (219th) and 33:42
(236th), respectively.
Freshman Rolland Ying (East Brunswick, N.J.)
crossed the finish line in 30:58 to place 236th in the
men's 8000-meter race. Junior Jason Guznay (Orange,
N.J.) was 63 seconds behind him to place 249th,
while freshman Justin Schulte (Pennsville, N.J.)
finished in 33:16 to place 261st.
The Cougars race next Sunday, October 7, when they compete at
the Highlander Invite at Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J.
