Bronx, N.Y. (11/10/07) - The Kean University men's and
women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA Division III
Atlantic Region Championships this afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park
hosted by New York University.
On the women's side, senior Anna Khorosheva (Ocean, N.J.) was Kean's top finisher with a time of 26:36.8 (177th). Freshman Sarah Kovolisky (Cranford, N.J.) finished 214th with a time of 28:08.5. Rounding out the Cougar women were Alejandria Canelo (Newark, N.J.) and Asha Winters (Ewing, N.J.) who were 244th and 245th respectively with times o f32:08.7 and 32:21.8.
The men's team finished 33rd with an average time of
31:02.0. Sophomore Ashwin Anantharaman (Hightstown,
N.J.) had a time of 28:40.5 good for 175th place.
Freshman Rolland Ying (East Brunswick, N.J.) placed
205th with a time of 29:57.0 while sophomore
Justin Schulte (Pennsville, N.J.) was
220th with a time of 31:00.8. Finishing together
were freshman Matt Young (Montville, N.J.), senior
Jason Guznay (Orange, N.J.) and freshman
Stephan Novak (Roselle, N.J.) with times of
32:38.3, 32:53.4 and 32:56.0 for 242nd, 243rd
and 244th place.
