Cross Country

Michael Loenser enters his second season as an assistant coach with the cross country and track and field programs at Kean University.

Loenser was a four-year letterwinner and a team captain for both the cross country and track and field teams as an undergrad at East Stroudsburg University, where he earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honors in the distance medley, 4x800 meter relay and 3000-meter run. 

At the Philadelphia Half-Marathon in November 2007, Loenser placed 12th overall and was the top finisher from New Jersey, completing the 13.1 mile course in 1:14.21. 

A PSAC Scholar-Athlete in 2004, Loenser earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg University in 2005.  He is currently a physical education, health and driver education teacher in the Elizabeth Public School District and he holds USA Track and Field Level One coaching certification.
