Football Tabbed Fourth in NJAC Preseason Poll

PITMAN, N.J. – (8/9/18) - The Kean University football team has been tabbed fourth in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Wesley took the top spot with seven first place votes, while Frostburg State landed in the second spot with three first place votes and Salisbury rounded out the top three. The rest of the poll is as follows: Christopher Newport, Rowan, TCNJ (Dark horse), Montclair State, Southern Virginia, and William Paterson.

Last season, the Cougars posted a 4-6 overall record and a 4-5 mark in the NJAC.

Kean returns three All-NJAC selections, including first team offensive lineman Chris Vurchio.

Head Coach Dan Garrett and the Cougars will open the 2018 campaign hosting the Pride of Springfield College on Saturday Sept. 8th at 1:00 p.m.
