Capozzoli Named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week

Pitman, N.J. (9/10/18) – Sophomore Dante Capozzoli was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office.

Capozzoli earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying the most tackles by an NJAC player in a contest this season during the Cougars' season-opening defeat to Springfield. He finished the contest with 19 total tackles, including four solo stops, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and 1.0 sack. He also recovered a fumble in the first game of his sophomore campaign.

Capozzoli currently leads the NJAC in tackles per game (19.0).
