Field Hockey Downed by Nationally Ranked Rowan

UNION, N.J. (10/6/18)- Audrey Treanor scored the lone goal as the Kean University field hockey team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to #7 Rowan University, 9-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Bridget Guinan tallied a hat-trick for the Profs who remain undefeated at 12-0 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC. Jenna Patrone and Treanor both took four shots apiece for the Cougars who fall to 4-9 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC.

Treanor notched the opening goal of the contest as a shot deflected off the goalie pads and she redirected the ball into the cage for the 1-0 lead in the third minute. Rowan responded with nine straight goals to close out the game.

The Profs took the advantage on shots (23-11) and corners (9-8). Erin Donnelly totaled two shots, while McKenna Ferraro tallied one shot.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action in Annville, Pa. on Wednesday, Oct. 10th against the Dutchman of Lebanon Valley College at 6:30 p.m.
