Field Hockey Blanks Lebanon Valley, 3-0

ANNVILLE, Pa. (10/10/18)- Jenna Patrone scored and assisted on a goal as the Kean University field hockey team blanked Lebanon Valley College, 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

Kayla Molnar and Rachel Mills both notched a goal for the Cougars who improve to 5-9 overall. Danielle Alba took four shots for the Dutchmen who fall to 6-7 overall.

Patrone gave Kean the 1-0 advantage in the 24th minute with a lefty shot after beating her defender. The Cougars pushed their lead to 2-0 in the 40th minute when a Patrone shot deflected off the keeper to Molnar who redirected it home for the score.

Kean added one more goal in the 47th minute when Mills scored on a back pass from Erin Donnelly for the 3-0 lead.

The Cougars edged the Dutchmen on shots (13-9) and corners (9-5). Patrone finished with four shots, while Molnar and Audrey Treanor both tallied three. Megan Houser made six saves in goal.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action in Immaculata, Pa. on Saturday, Oct. 13th, against the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University at 1:00 p.m.
