Field Hockey Shutout by Nationally-Ranked TCNJ

UNION, N.J. (10/20/18) – Megan Houser and Bailee Mullen combined for nine saves as the Kean University field hockey team was shutout by nationally-ranked the College of New Jersey, 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Cayla Andrews notched two goals for the Lions who improve to 11-3 overall and 3-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Jenna Patrone tallied five shots for the Cougars who fall to 7-10 overall and 1-4 in the NJAC.

TCNJ scored three unanswered in the first half and added two more in the second half.  

The Lions outshot (18-8) and out cornered (9-7) the Cougars. Erin Donnelly totaled two shots, while Melissa Way tallied one.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd, hosting the Hawks of SUNY New Paltz for Senior Night at 7:30 p.m.
