UNION, N.J. (1/18/16) – The Kean University men's basketball team fell to the College of Staten Island in a Martin Luther King Day Matinee in Richmond County on Monday. The final score was 72-40 in favor of the Dolphins, who improved to 13-4 on the year.
Kean was led by sophomore guard Jerry Crismond, who had seven points, and senior guard Mike Diamond, who pulled down seven rebounds. Sophomore guard Brendan Pollick (pictured left) pulled down another six boards for the Cougars.
The game was within reach for Kean at halftime when CSI led by seven, but the hosts outscored Kean 40-15 in the final 20 minutes.
Will Fonseca had 23 points to lead all players, had a double-double with 14 rebounds and led all players with five assists as well for the Dolphins.
Kean (2-13) will return to NJAC play host Montclair State on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
