PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (12/18/16) – Sophomore Michael Summerer dropped a double-double on Division I Drexel University as the Kean University men's basketball team lost 84-44 to the Dragons on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.
Summerer led the Cougars with 11 points and 11 rebounds on 5-10 shooting from the floor, including a hit from downtown for the big man. Micah Kerr also had 10 points off the bench for Kean. Kevin Pacheco (pictured left) led the team with three assists.
The Dragons were led by Sammy Mojica and Austin Williams, who had 16 points each. Williams also had a double-double in the contest with 11 boards.
The Cougar defense forced 40 Drexel misses from the floor, but were out done 54-27 on the boards.
Kean will return to the hardwood on New Year's Eve in New York City. The Cougars will tangle with the Bearcats of Baruch College at 3 p.m. in Manhattan a few hours before the ball drops.
