GLASSBORO, N.J. (1/9/19) – Four starters scored in double figures as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to Rowan University, 98-70 on Wednesday evening.
Nick DePersia totaled 16 points for the Profs who improve to 11-4 overall and 5-3 in the NJAC. Justin Watson finished with 16 points and knocked down four triples for the Cougars who fall to 2-13 overall and 0-8 in the NJAC.
Rowan opened the game on a 20-8 run and didn't look back in the wire-to-wire victory. The Profs knocked down 18 three-pointers as they stretched their lead to as large as 78-47 with 7:15 remaining in the second half.
Nate Lyles totaled 12 points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists, while Micah Kerr finished with 10 points and six rebounds. Jodrell Thompson collected 11 points and three boards, while Barry Brown and Jared Latane both tallied seven points apiece.
Head Coach Adam Hutchinson and the Cougars will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 12th, hosting the Lions of the College of New Jersey at 1:00 p.m.
