Men’s Basketball Sweeps NJAC Weekly Awards

PITMAN, N.J. (1/28/19) - The Kean University men's basketball team swept the New Jersey Athletic Conference weekly awards. Micah Kerr has been named the NJAC Player of the Week, while Jailen Jamison has earned his sixth NJAC Rookie of the Week honors.

Kerr averaged 27.5 points per game and 12.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.8% from the floor and 85.7% from the line. He totaled 13 points and eight rebounds against Rutgers-Newark on Jan. 23rd. He followed that performance with a career-high 42 points and 16 rebounds in the 86-64 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Jan. 26th.

Jamison averaged 17.0 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 54.2% from the floor and 54.5% from behind the arc. He scored 16 points against Rutgers-Newark on Jan. 23rd and totaled 18 points and four assists in the 86-64 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Jan. 26th.
