UNION, N.J. (2/13/19)- Micah Kerr finished his Cougar career with 34 points and 11 rebounds as the Kean University men's basketball team fell to Rowan University, 91-77 in their senior night season finale.
Ryan Legler totaled 22 points and made six triples for the Profs who improve to 19-6 overall and 13-5 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Marquis Major totaled 10 points for the Cougars who finished the season at 7-18 overall and 5-13 in the NJAC.
Kerr led all scorers with 16 points in the first half as the Cougars rallied from an 11-point deficit with 5:16 remaining to take a 40-37 lead at the break. Kean closed the half on a 17-6 run over the final 5:07 that saw Kerr score nine points during the run including sinking five free throws in the final 1:05.
Rowan opened the second half with a 17-6 run that gave the Profs a 67-55 lead behind hot shooting from Legler. The Cougars were able to get the lead down to seven, but that would be the closest Kean would come as Rowan shot 63.6% from behind the arc and stretched their lead back to 88-71 with 1:39 to play.
