Kerr Posts Double-Double on Senior Night

UNION, N.J. (2/13/19)- Micah Kerr finished his Cougar career with 34 points and 11 rebounds as the Kean University men's basketball team fell to Rowan University, 91-77 in their senior night season finale.

Ryan Legler totaled 22 points and made six triples for the Profs who improve to 19-6 overall and 13-5 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Marquis Major totaled 10 points for the Cougars who finished the season at 7-18 overall and 5-13 in the NJAC.

Kerr led all scorers with 16 points in the first half as the Cougars rallied from an 11-point deficit with 5:16 remaining to take a 40-37 lead at the break. Kean closed the half on a 17-6 run over the final 5:07 that saw Kerr score nine points during the run including sinking five free throws in the final 1:05.

Rowan opened the second half with a 17-6 run that gave the Profs a 67-55 lead behind hot shooting from Legler. The Cougars were able to get the lead down to seven, but that would be the closest Kean would come as Rowan shot 63.6% from behind the arc and stretched their lead back to 88-71 with 1:39 to play.

Jodrell Thompson and Jailen Jamison both totaled six points and six rebounds, while Jared Latane added seven points.

Before the contest, Head Coach Adam Hutchinson and his staff honored Kerr, Kevin Pacheco, Tre Gomez, and Thompson for their hard work and dedication to the program.
