Men's Lacrosse Defeats Immaculata, 9-4

Union, N.J. (3/16/11) – Sophomore Lane Zierten recorded 11 saves as the Kean University men’s lacrosse team defeated Immaculata University, 9-4, Wednesday evening in non-conference action.

The Cougars (4-1) lead throughout as they scored the first four goals of the match en-route to a 5-2 halftime lead.  Kean controlled throughout the final two periods, scoring another three straight.

Sophomore Tom Clifford (pictured left) recorded two goals and an assist while freshman Todd Petrone added two goals of his own.  Junior Brian Maggi tallied two goals and three groundballs while junior Nick Angrisani finished with three groundballs and two caused turnovers.

The Mighty Macs (2-2) were led by Joey Shallow who recorded three goals.

Kean returns to action on Saturday when they host the College at Brockport at 1 p.m.
