Men’s Lacrosse Chosen Third in CSAC Preseason Coaches Poll

ROSEMONT, Pa. (2/12/19) - The Kean University men's lacrosse team has been chosen third with 34 points in the Colonial States Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll.

CSAC Release

Stockton took the top spot with 48 points and six first-place votes, while Montclair State placed second with 38 points and one first-place vote. The rest of the poll is as follows: Bryn Athyn (28), Centenary (21), Rosemont (18) and Keystone (9).

Since the NJAC doesn't sponsor men's lacrosse, Stockton, Montclair, and Kean were looking for a home after previously playing in the Skyline Conference. After a season as an independent, the CSAC accepted all three schools as associate members on July 1st, 2018.

The Cougars return two All-ECAC selections in first-teamer Matt Palmieri and honorable mention Mike Snellen.

Head Coach Shelley Sheiner and the Cougars will open the 2019 season on Wednesday, Feb. 27th, hosting the Gators of the Sage Colleges at 6:00 p.m.
