Men’s Soccer Chosen Dark Horse in NJAC Preseason Poll

PITMAN, N.J. (8/13/18)- The Kean University men's soccer team has been chosen fifth and the dark horse in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Rowan took the top spot with nine first place votes, while Montclair State landed in the second spot and Rutgers-Newark rounded out the top three with one first place vote. Stockton was tabbed just ahead of Kean in the fourth spot. The rest of the poll is as follows: William Paterson, Rutgers-Camden, TCNJ, Ramapo and NJCU.

Last season, Kean went 10-7-1 overall with a 5-4 mark in the NJAC and an appearance in the NJAC tournament first round.

The Cougars return two All-NJAC selections, including second-team selection and Rookie of the Year in Vinceroy Nelson.  Nelson will be joined by follow second team selection Erick Reyes.

Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will kickoff the 2018 season hosting the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Friday, Aug. 31st at 7:00 p.m.
