Late Goal Downs Men’s Soccer Against Rutgers-Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. (9/22/18) - A goal in the 81st minute downed the Kean University men's soccer team against Rutgers-Camden, 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Buchy scored the game-winner for the Scarlet Raptors who improve to 6-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Jake Santos tallied four shots for the Cougars who fall to 4-3-1 overall and 0-2 in the NJAC.

Kean and Camden both totaled 15 shots and four corner kicks apiece. The Cougars edged the Scarlet Raptors on shots in the first half (12-7), while RUC edged KU on shots in the second half (8-3).

Alex Nicol totaled three shots, while Nicholas Sica, Tomas Suarez, Dylan Evande, Damjan Agaj, Felipe Lucas, Geovanny Luna, Matthew Almeida, Bend Jenner Alexandre all tallied one shot apiece.  

Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will return to action on Monday, Sept. 24th, hosting the Bearcats of Baruch College at 7:30 p.m.
