Men’s Soccer Plays to 2-2 Draw with Baruch

UNION, N.J. (9/24/18) - Felipe Lucas and Ramesses Moore-McGuinness both notched goals as the Kean University men's soccer team played to a 2-2 double overtime draw with Baruch College on Monday evening.

After the Bearcats (3-3-1) scored just 46 seconds in, the Cougars (4-3-2) evened things at 1-1 when Lucas bent the ball around the wall during a free-kick opportunity in the 10th minute.

Baruch would hold the lead into halftime at 2-1 after an attempted Kean clear turned into a Bearcats goal in the 25th minute.  The Cougars waited until the second half to even everything at 2-2, after Damjan Agaj crossed the ball into Moore-McGuinness and he beat the keeper at close range in the 59th minute.

The final 40 minutes saw neither team get the golden goal as the Cougars earned their second draw in less than a week.

Baruch edged Kean on shots (20-12) and corners (7-0). Lucas totaled five shots, while Moore-McGuinness and Alex Nicol both took two shots apiece.

Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 26th, hosting the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University at 7:30 p.m.
