Men’s Soccer Falls to Nationally Ranked Montclair State on Senior Night

UNION, N.J. (10/24/18)- Derek Phells made 10 saves as the Kean University men's soccer team dropped its regular season finale to nationally ranked Montclair State University, 5-0 on Senior Night.

Jake Seaman scored two goals for the Red Hawks who improve to 15-1-2 overall and 8-0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Felipe Lucas tallied six shots for the Cougars who finish their season at 5-9-3 overall and 1-7-1 in the NJAC.

The Red Hawks held the advantage on shots (26-15) and corners (5-3). Ramesses Moore-McGuinness totaled four shots, while Bryan Blandon, Alex Nicol, Matthew Almeida, Erick Reyes and Jung Eui Hong all recorded one shot.

Before the contest, Head Coach Peter-John Falloon and his staff honored seniors Jimmy Lima, Matthew McAvoy, Nicholas Sica, Phells and Reyes for their hard work and dedication to the program.
