Men’s Volleyball Breezes Past John Jay

UNION, N.J. (2/24/14) – The Kean University men's volleyball program had little trouble dispatching the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in a 3-0 sweep on Monday night. Krzysztof Kucza led Kean with 13 kills, while Josh Haimann (pictured left) posted 20 assists before switching to a hitting role and racking up nine kills.

Kean hit .353 in the match and the Cougar defense held John Jay to a negative hitting percentage in the first set and a 0.65 mark overall. Kean dug 34 balls in three sets, Led by Jon Bowser (nine) and Kucza (six).

Mike Scheuermann had three aces to lead the squad in that category, and Arthur Kosakowski had a dozen assists and provided the coup de grace with one of his two kills to seal the win. 12 different Cougars saw action during the night.

Kean will travel to Purchase, N.Y. for two neutral site Skyline Conference games on Sunday against Yeshiva University and Ramapo College beginning at 10 a.m.
