Men’s Volleyball Slotted #4 in AVCA Preseason Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. (1/3/18) - The Kean University men's volleyball team has been slotted #4 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) preseason poll released on Thursday.

The Cougars won a program record 34 matches, while setting a new longest winning streak at 28 matches and being ranked as high as #4. Kean won their seventh straight conference title, after capturing the 2018 CVC Championship, and made their seventh straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

This is the highest preseason ranking in program history, as the Cougars were previously ranked #6 to start the 2015 season.  

Head Coach Charlie Ginex and the Cougars will open the 2019 season on Friday, Jan. 18th in Rochester, N.Y. against Elmira College at the St. John's Fisher Classic.
