#3 Men’s Volleyball Has Eight Match Winning Streak Snapped by Sacred Heart

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (3/21/19) – Dylan Flor posted a match-high 14 kills and seven digs as the #3 Kean University men's volleyball team had their eight match winning streak snapped by Sacred Heart University, 3-0 (21-25, 23-25, 21-25) on Thursday evening.

Emerson Waumans finished with nine kills and seven digs for the Pioneers who improve to 3-11 overall. Steven Zarzycki totaled six kills for the Cougars who fall to 18-4 overall.

Kean battled Sacred Heart in all three sets, but the Pioneers closed out each set with late runs to complete the sweep. Sacred Heart hit .357 for the match with 10 blocks, while the Cougars posted a .212 hitting percentage with just three blocks.

Ian Capp finished with 30 assists and three digs, while Jake Milnazik and Kamil Garbowski both tallied five kills apiece.

Head Coach Charlie Ginex and the Cougars will return to action tomorrow, Fri. Mar. 22nd, in Immaculata, Pa. against the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University at 6:00 p.m.
