Capp Collects Two Major Awards as Men’s Volleyball Earns Four All-CVC Selections

UNION, N.J. (4/10/19) – Ian Capp has been named the Continental Volleyball Conference Player and Setter of the Year as the #7 Kean University men's volleyball team earns four all conference selections. Capp and Kamil Garbowski have been named to the first team, while Dylan Flor joins the second team and Jake Milnazik earns third team honors.

Capp earns both Setter of the Year and a first team selection for the second straight season after totaling 184 assists, 60 kills, 43 digs, 31 aces and eight blocks in 10 conference matches. The junior averaged 2.14 kills per set, 6.57 assists per set, 1.11 aces per set, 1.54 digs per set and a .463 hitting percentage over 28 conference sets played. During the season, Capp was named the CVC Player of the Week once.

Garbowski earns his first all-conference selection and joins Capp on the first team after totaling 54 kills, 13 blocks and 10 digs in nine conference matches. The senior averaged 2.08 kills per set, 0.50 blocks per set and a .466 hitting percentage over 26 conference sets played. During the season, Garbowski was named the CVC Player of the Week once.

Flor earns his first all-conference selection after being named to the second team. The junior totaled 73 kills, 16 digs, 15 blocks and four aces in nine conference matches. He averaged 2.70 kills per set, 0.59 digs per set, 0.56 blocks per set and a .427 hitting percentage over 27 conference sets played. During the season, Flor was named the CVC Player of the Week once.

Milnazik also earns his first all-conference selection after being named to the third team. The junior totaled 63 kills, 25 digs, 16 blocks and 12 aces in 11 conference matches. Milnazik averaged 2.25 kills per set, 0.89 digs per set, 0.57 blocks per set, 0.43 aces per set and a .308 hitting percentage over 28 conference sets played.

As a reminder, Harwood Arena and Kean University will host the 2019 NCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship on Apr. 26-27.
